    Overview

     

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Junior REO Asset Manager oversees a portfolio of real estate owned properties from acquisition to receipt of funds from the sale. The position’s main role is to ensure that client/company quality standards and metrics are adhered to as it pertains to the management of the assigned portfolio.  As a junior level REO Asset Manager, the position also exposes the candidate to multiple facets of the entire business including, but not limited to, eviction, contracts, title, closing, quality control, invoicing, and operations.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Management of a portfolio of REO assets (pre-marketing, marketing, and offer negotiation)
    • Obtain values, bids, other relevant data to analyze and create marketing strategies at the asset level (pre-marketing)
    • Re-evaluate marketing strategies throughout the asset’s marketing lifecycle (marketing)
    • Maximize return at the asset level by negotiating the best potential offer (offer negotiation)
    • Submit economic decisions for review and approval
    • Monitor and respond to portfolio and asset level exceptions
    • Handle asset level inquires and escalations
    • Manage assigned vendors to company standards
    • Performs other duties or projects as requested by manager

    Qualifications

     

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Ability to accomplish tasks and processes accurately and completely
    • Ability to observe, monitor, collect, and record data
    • Ability to assess the accuracy, validity, and integrity of the data
    • Ability to identify problems, possible solutions, and actively work to resolve issues
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to remain flexible to meet constantly changing and sometimes opposing demands
    • The ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Chrome related to job tasks

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma required
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • Real Estate license desirable but not required
    • Real Estate or mortgage banking experience preferred
    • Experience with Pyramid Platform, or other REO systems preferred

     

    MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
