    Overview

     

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Manager, Loss Analysis & Corporate Advance Governance is responsible for monitoring the losses of loans where claims have been submitted and paid by the investor or the insurer. The Manager will work in close partnership with Claims and other lines of business where operational gaps exist as a result of the loss analysis. This position is also responsible for corporate advance oversight and will work with other lines of business to make sure advances are posted correctly so they can be reported accurately.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and prepare reconciliations and lead activities related to corporate advance in the subservicing context.
    • Assist Legal, Finance and Operations on Servicing Agreements, as needed.
    • Act as the client advocate within the servicing organization; ensure that all contractual obligations are being met; manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships, ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Coordinate with other lines of business and other servicing functions where losses are experienced and recommend proper controls in order to avoid non-payment of claimable expenses.
    • Oversee and manage existing relationships from a loan servicing prospective.
    • Maintain constant, constructive communications with clients and proactively work to resolve real and potential issues and provide superior levels of customer service for any related losses claimed from the Master Servicer.
    • Develop and prepare internal reporting such as tracking the Client’s weekly updates, creating scorecard templates and KPIs, and manage new reporting needs to increase departmental productivity.
    • Responsible for Project Management (planning, implementation and execution).
    • Handle special projects assigned by Senior Management including coordination of ongoing surveillance reports, due diligence and similar examination-type activities.
    • Performs oversight on advances and ensures that advances are collected timely in sub-serviced deals.
    • Performs analysis and management reports on write-offs and RLMS losses.
    • Manage the operations of corporate advances.
    • All other duties as needed.

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Strong knowledge of GSE, FHA, VA, USDA claims.
    • Must be familiar with trade level and loan level documents
    • Ability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a understanding of issues
    • Strong analytical and account reconciliation skills within a mortgage-servicing environment.
    • Must demonstrate ability to learn quickly and adapt to a demanding and changing work environment.
    • Excellent time management, organizational and overall project management skills are a must
    • Must display strong interpersonal skills
    • Ownership, integrity, strong customer service orientation, negotiation and sales skills
    • Superior oral and written communication skills

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • High School diploma required
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Five (+) years’ experience in mortgage servicing including experience in asset/portfolio management, collections, loss mitigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and REO
    • Five (+) years’ experience in residential mortgage servicing, or capital markets

     

     

    MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

    • Experience working with LPS/ MSP system preferred
    • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Access a must)
