    Overview

    POSITION SUMMARY:

     

    The Junior Valuation Analyst will be responsible for conducting research and completing various tasks relating to the valuation department at Rushmore Loan Management Services. The successful candidate will have the requisite knowledge and education relating to residential real estate property valuations and market trends.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Handling correspondence and requests for valuation service providers.
    • Assist valuation department with various daily functions including:
      • Performing data collection
      • Identifying and locating documents needed for review,
      • Assisting in the set-up of the review in proprietary review system,
      • Monitoring and reporting on the progress of these projects.
      • Running and compiling reports on projects.
      • Special projects
    • Perform market research
    • Perform property valuation reviews based on Broker Price Opinions (BPOs) or Competitive Market Analysis (CMAs) and inspection reports to determine the current market value for various client needs including acquisitions, periodic servicing updates, loss mitigation and pre-foreclosure reviews.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret 3rd party data and various internet resources and incorporate into the valuation review process
    • Use a high degree of analytical skill, training, and common sense to rigorously review, analyze, and interpret residential real estate valuations.
    • All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally through both written and oral communication to clients (both internal and external,) analysts, appraisers, and agents and all other points of contact
    • Strong analytical, comprehension and problem solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Ability to accept direction and additional responsibilities from manager or supervisor as necessary
    • Ability to work as part of a team
    • Convey a positive and professional attitude towards staff members, clients and vendors
    • Strong personal integrity
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
    • Commitment to obtaining outstanding results
    • Punctuality expected and overtime hours as necessary.

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

     

    • High school diploma required
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management, Business Administration or Accounting (with a concentration in Finance or Real Estate) preferred

     

     

    MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

     

    • Advanced skills with MS Excel
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
