    Overview

     

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Manager, Real Estate is responsible for day-to-day management of Real Estate and supporting functions. Working closely with Dakota management, the Manager will assist in ensuring the business is monitored and managed according to outlined strategic initiatives. 

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure the Asset manager adhere to timeline and quality standards set forth by the company
    • Assist in monitoring title/closing objectives as well as creating enhanced procedure updates and identifying/implementing risk controls
    • Maintain and exceed service level agreements with clients and investors
    • Engage with internal management to communicate portfolio updates and process improvement strategies to Asset Managers
    • Monitor, manage, and assist in the development of daily exception reporting
    • Assist in the research and resolution of issues and disputes for clients, vendors, and staff
    • Train and mentor direct reports in meeting objectives and exceeding performance targets
    • Develop internal policies and procedures, including the ongoing review and update as needed to accommodate changes in business or regulatory needs
    • Implement change and manage the process through resolution
    • Perform all personnel related functions for area of direct responsibility
    • Establish and maintain working partnerships with the business units supported and provide a superior level of customer service consistent with the organizations business model
    • Coordinate communications between departments and other business units
    • Performs all other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in the field of Real Estate, especially distressed Real Estate (e.g. REO)
    • Accomplished professional with diverse experience in mortgage, banking, and financial services
    • Adept in leading teams, surpassing objectives, driving revenue growth, and improving retention
    • Problem solving skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel, proposing and accepting compromises for issue resolution
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Sound decision making skills, critical thinking and innovation within a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work, anticipate and adopt tactics in a changing business environment with multiple priorities.
    • Proven ability to identify problems, determine possible solutions, and actively work to resolve issues
    • Results oriented
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to remain flexible to meet constantly changing and sometimes opposing demands
    • Aptitude for understanding and managing system functionality and the related ongoing maintenance, development, and upgrade processes

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

     

    • High School Diploma required
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • In-depth and hands-on experience dealing with REO processes
    • 5 (+) years’ experience managing REO Assets
    • Hands-on knowledge of REO Workflow Systems
    • 5 (+) years’ experience managing REO Assets in changing markets

     

    MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

    • Proficient with Microsoft application
    • Proficient with Internet Explorer related to job tasks
