    Overview

    POSITION SUMMARY:

     

    The Property Preservation Specialist is responsible for mitigating loss to the company and investors by managing the maintenance and repair of vacant properties. The PPC maintains superior relationships with Field Services Suppliers while ensuring they provide accurate and timely services set to meet or exceed client expectations.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Review loan history and determine if the property is vacant, requires securing and/or property preservation.
    • Assess property inspection reports and repair bids to protect Rushmore’s assets.
    • Review Daily Reports to ensure vendors are meeting timelines in securing vacant properties.
    • Work with Vendors Code violations team and VPR teams to ensure RLMS assets are in compliance with city ordinances.
    • Ability to review bids to ensure they align with market standards.
    • Manage daily, weekly and monthly reports and communicate with property preservation vendors to ensure vendors are meeting delivery timelines in accordance with established procedures.
    • Communicate internally with various departments to address any escalated issues.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Utilizes strong written and verbal skills to develop supplier relationships and communicate expectations, guidelines, and deadlines.
    • Strong Judgement skills to assess issues that need to be escalated.

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

     

    • High School Diploma required
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • Minimum two years mortgage banking experience and/or relevant work experience in a functional role required
    • FHA Experience is desired

     

     

    MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
    • Experience in creating/running reports with Passport/Excel.
    • Navigate LPS/MSP and vendor systems.
