    Overview

     

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The VP, GNMA Loss Mitigation Operations will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and managing the Loss Mitigation Operations including solicitation, underwriting, loss mitigation fulfillment and redelivery of government insured mortgage loans.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manages loss mitigation operations to ensure proper and timely processing of accounts and achievement of productivity, compliance, and efficiency in accordance with business strategy.
    • Establishes and improves business processes, policies and procedures that support and align with Company initiatives and strategies.
    • Provides strategic direction and in-depth expertise through coordination, implementation, setting accountability and delivery of services.
    • Makes recommendations for process improvement and service delivery.
    • Monitors Loss Mitigation operations for performance trends.
    • Responsible for communications with internal management, external clients, and rating agencies.
    • Ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations pertaining to Loss Mitigation and Default processing.
    • Full people management responsibilities including hiring, terminations, promotions, performance and compensation management, and training and development.
    • Performs all other duties or projects as assigned or required.

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Capability and experienced with establishing strategic vision and driving change towards achieving goals in alignment with business targets.
    • Strong business acumen and excellent relationship management skills across all levels.
    • Must be detail oriented, have excellent problem-solving and strong organizational skills.
    • Strong leadership skills including the ability to lead, coach and develop effective teams, hold staff accountable for performance and the ability to develop and execute on strategy.
    • Excellent verbal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels.
    • Excellent team development and change management skills required.

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required
    • Eight (+) years in a management capacity
    • Ten (+) years in loss mitigation, underwriting, default management of government insured mortgage loans.
    • Seven (+) year’s previous experience with mortgage default operations of government loan products.
    • Experience with Fidelity MSP servicing platform preferred
    • Experience with LPS Desktop and LPS Invoice preferred
    • Experienced user of FHA Connection and VALERI

     

    MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

    • Advanced MS Excel skills with ability to complete various lookups and comparisons (Vlookup, Pivot Tables).
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
    • Solid experience with LPS/MSP Servicing System (functionality and reports).
