    Overview

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Quality Assurance Analyst will support the effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Assurance Program (1st line of defense) across functional areas of the business. This role will assist in assessing and mitigating the risks associated with potential and existing laws or regulations that may impact the company. High attention to detail and drive to deliver excellence is required of this position.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance Program in providing training to the offshore vendor resources performing testing
    • Ensure reviews are performed timely and meet all expected Service Level Agreements
    • Provide analysis for trends and risks identified during the review process
    • Effectively communicate gaps and deficiencies and escalate issues to the Quality Assurance Manager
    • Ensure exceptions/findings identified are being reviewed by the business units for rebuttals by following up as needed
    • Identify opportunities to improve business operations and champion these efforts in the day-to-day activities of the organization. Recommend and assist in changes to best practices
    • Develop and implement quality assurance testing procedures for various processes
    • Review and audit HELOC processes
    • Provide excellent customer service to the Operations business units through professional written and verbal communication
    • Manage time, prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple tasks in order to meet required completion and reporting deadlines
    • Other duties, responsibilities, and job functions as assigned

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Must be highly disciplined, organized and detail-oriented
    • Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver
    • Ability to work in chaotic, fast moving environment with quick response times, keeping pace with the business, addressing time-sensitive client demands
    • Very strong work ethic; roll-up the sleeves attitude
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to clearly convey ideas
    • Strong command of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to interface and work well with all levels of management, peers and other departments; must be collaborative
    • Sound critical thinking and innovation
    • Strong bent towards process-improvement and quality

     

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

      • Bachelor’s degree desired
    • Minimum three (3) years in the mortgage industry with servicing knowledge
    • Prior QA/QC/Compliance experience desired
    • Prior HELOC Servicing experience desired
    • Understanding of compliance and regulations
    • Systems/business analysis exposure desired

     

     

    MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

    • Proficient with PC software (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) in the creation of spreadsheets, databases and various word processing formats and document templates.
