    Overview

    POSITION SUMMARY:

     

    The Manager, REO Operations is responsible for the day to day management of REO asset management and supporting functions on Dakota properties. Working closely with the Dakota SVP, REO Operations, the manager will assist in ensuring the portfolio is monitored and managed according to outlined strategic plans as well as develop the talent within the asset management group.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain and exceed service level agreements with clients and investors
    • Actively engage with internal management to communicate portfolio updates and process improvement strategies
    • Actively monitor and manage daily exception reporting
    • Assist in the research and resolution of issues and disputes
    • Train and mentor direct reports in meeting objectives and exceeding performance targets
    • Develop internal policies and procedures, including the ongoing review and update as needed to accommodate changes in business or regulatory needs
    • Implement change and manage the process through resolution
    • Perform all personnel related functions for area of direct responsibility
    • Establish and maintain working partnerships with the business units supported and provide a superior level of customer service consistent with the organizations business model
    • Coordinate communications between departments and other business units
    • Performs all other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in the field of REO
    • Accomplished professional with diverse experience in mortgage, banking, and financial services
    • Adept in leading teams, surpassing objectives, driving revenue growth, and improving retention
    • Problem solving skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel, proposing and accepting compromises for issue resolution
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Sound decision making skills, critical thinking and innovation within a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work, anticipate and adopt tactics in a changing business environment with multiple priorities.
    • Proven ability to identify problems, determine possible solutions, and actively work to resolve issues
    • Results oriented
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to remain flexible to meet constantly changing and sometimes opposing demands
    • Aptitude for understanding and managing system functionality and the related ongoing maintenance, development, and upgrade processes
    • Committed to maintaining full regulatory compliance
    • Ability to create, document and present ideas for an executive level audience

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    • Minimum 3 years holding a position within management
    • 3+ years in-depth and hands-on experience with REO

    MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

    • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer related to job tasks.
