    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The SQL/Database Developer works with the Rushmore development team developing enterprise level applications to serve various servicing functions at Rushmore. Developer will also work closely with business to understand and analyze database requirements.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design, code, unit and system test, document, assist in in training and implementing projects, programs, and work flows all related to the SQL database platform.
    • Lead execution of projects to successful delivery (design, build/code, test and install).
    • Design and architect solutions that guarantee effective implementation and integration of business-critical applications and components.
    • Keep abreast with the latest advances in software development technologies and lead implementation of strategic solutions that add significant value to Rushmore.
    • Provide hands-on expertise to business partners on product development processes, detailed technical requirements and system integrations.
    • Contribute to the development of architecture documents, user manuals, management reports and other technical documentation.
    • Perform all other duties as needed.

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Very strong SQL skills. Should have worked with Microsoft SQL Server recently.
    • Prior work experience with Reporting Services.
    • Understanding of Microsoft .Net. C# knowledge is plus.
    • Knowledge of MSP and Navision are plus.
    • Ability to research, gather background information and analyze complex data.
    • Use of systematic, organized, proactive approach to resolve problems and issues.
    • Excellent verbal and written skills, including ability to write clearly, concisely, and logically.
    • Ability to work well with all levels of management, staff.
    • Ability to handle fast-paced multi-task projects. 

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related major (Information Systems, Computer Science) or a related field of study required.
    • Graduate Degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
    • 8+ years of programming experience.
    • 3+ years in the mortgage industry, preferably working in mortgage servicing.
