    Overview

     

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This Collateral Analyst, Jr. position will be responsible to assist and support review of collateral files and documents processed by the department. This will include data entry of received documents into the proprietary tracking system,  stacking and auditing of collateral files for scanning and entry into the tracking system, and indexing of scanned documents. Additional responsibility will be to assist in transmission of outbound files and documents to custodians, investors, file retention vendors and others as applicable. Some reporting requirements will also be handled by the junior analyst for delivery to management and investors.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs collateral file reviews for scanning preparation and document entry into the Collateral Tracking System (CTS)
    • Updates the Collateral Tracking System regarding incoming documents and outgoing shipments
    • Prepares manifests and barcodes for document retention vendor on their web-site and CTS
    • Assists in handling trailing documents to input into live collateral files
    • Creates shipping manifests for deliveries to custodians, attorneys, and other external parties
    • Communicates project status and results weekly, and as requested
    • Creates and exports applicable reporting from internal systems
    • Performs other tasks as assigned by management

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Base knowledge of mortgage collateral documents
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-motivation required for accomplishing goal/project-oriented work with minimal supervision
    • Detail orientation with strong organizational skills
    • Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills

      

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma required
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • 2 plus years mortgage or servicing experience preferred

     

     

    MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel - vlookups, pivot tables a must)
