    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Closing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the REO closing process at Dakota Asset Services, LLC (Dakota). As part of that function, the supervisor will ensure the appropriate procedures are followed between the loan servicer, closing/title vendors, investors, and closing/title staff at Dakota.  In addition, the supervisor will assist in the development of the company’s closing procedures, reporting, and system enhancements in order to minimize risks and increased efficiencies within the closing process.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Responsible for all closing related activities for REO dispositions
    • Coordinate efforts with the title group to clear all REO/post-foreclosure title issues related to under contract files to facilitate closing of sales
    • Supervisory responsibilities for employees involved with the closing process
    • Manage and provide oversight of vendors associated with the closing process
    • Coordinate activities between the loan servicer, closing/title vendors, and investors
    • Review daily exception reports and past due tasking in closing system to ensure timely completion of tasks and management of exceptions
    • Build and present executive summaries/reports for the executive management team
    • Timely and professional response to inquiries from investors, closing/title vendors, loan servicer, and internal staff
    • Open communication with team members, Asset Managers, and Dakota management team
    • Attend and participate in team meetings
    • All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

     

    • Experience supervising a team of real estate professionals
    • Experience in the development of policies and procedures
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
    • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma required
    • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
    • 5+ years of relevant work experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity

      

    MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

     

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
