Overview

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The GNMA Claims Manager will be responsible for managing the mortgage insurance claims process including oversight of the mortgage Insurance (MI) claims vendor, RLMS staff, and filing of rebuttal and appeals for assets within Rushmore’s portfolio.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Oversight of RLMS Property Preservation, Escrow and Claims functions to ensure that properties are conveyed within applicable timeframes and standards.
  • Oversight of Loss Draft process on government loans to ensure repairs are completed so that properties are placed in conveyance condition.
  • Oversight of MI claims vendor ensuring that vendor files all claims within pre-defined timelines.
  • Management of RLMS MI specialists ensuring that staff prepares packages for vendor timely, documents the appropriate systems correctly, and demonstrates excellent customer service.
  • Ability to accurately and clearly communicate claim rebuttals and / or appeals.
  • Strong knowledge of both government insured (e.g. FHA / VA / USDA) claims and privately insured MI claims.
  • Ability to define and improve processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work in fast past environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

 

  • Five (+) years previous experience filing and responding to private and government MI claims
  • Ability to interpret mortgage servicing information and insurer issued documents such as denials, rescissions, and EOB’s

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

 

  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Three (+) years recent experience with mortgage insurance claims
  • Experience with Fidelity MSP servicing platform preferred
  • Experience with LPS Desktop and LPS Invoice preferred
  • Experienced user of FHA Connection and VALERI

 

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

 

 

 

  • Advanced MS Excel skills with ability to complete various lookups and comparisons (Vlookup, Pivot Tables).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Solid experience with LPS/MSP Servicing System (functionality and reports).
