Overview

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst – Default Credit Risk is responsible for the coordination and tactical management of new projects with little supervision. Support the development and management of the project's business case. Define client requirements and project specifications. Analyze and discuss the potential risks and benefits of technology solutions. Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing issue resolution process and taking corrective action as necessary.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Project management for modification underwriting systems implementations and development
  • Ensure projects are effectively planned and necessary parties are held accountable to meet desired implementation timelines
  • Procedural documentation for new product rollouts and enhancements
  • Engage in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing with new technology implementations and system or reporting enhancements
  • Working with business SMEs and documenting requirements for UI and letter implementations
  • Serve as a Liaison between both business and technical teams driving effective timely solutions to fulfill strategic and operational needs
  • Develop data requirements and source-to-target data mappings for a creating reporting out of underwriting and document fulfillment systems
  • Ensure proper integration of data solutions into existing reporting environments
  • Ability to understand the underlying business needs and effectively document, map, communicate, and execute to meet business needs
  • Understand logical and physical data models and ensure proper design and flow of information across the applications
  • Apply business validation and analytic skills to ensure high data quality
  • Perform Data Analysis, deep data investigative (SQL) capabilities - combine that with Business knowledge in Mortgage Servicing and Default areas
  • Analyze and develop data requirements and source-to-target (data) mappings for a creating a single-source-of-truth-type data warehouse solution (drawing from multiple desperate sources into one)
  • Interact with Business team, stakeholders and prepare Business Requirements Documents and presentations to technology vendors, internal business units, and IT teams
  • Apply business validation and analytic skills to ensure high data quality
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

 

  • Excellent verbal and written skills, including ability to write clearly, concisely, and logically
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management, staff and third party vendors
  • Ability to research, gather background information, and analyze complex data
  • Use of systematic, organized, proactive approach to resolve problems and issues
  • Strong knowledge of Rushmore policies, procedures and processes
  • Strong knowledge of MSP and Navision
  • Ability to handle fast paced, multi task projects 

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Project Management experience
  • Proficient in SQL along with the use of querying tools such as SQL Query Analyzer, TOAD, etc.
  • Proficiency with office products such as Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Visio is required.
  • Experience with Data extraction and perform multi-dimensional data analysis and working knowledge of data warehouses is desirable
  • Working knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Business Intelligence
  • Working knowledge of Mortgage Servicing Operation
  • Familiarity with Mortgaging Servicing Platforms  (such as MSP, LPS, etc.) is desirable
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
  • Strong verbal and writing skills, presentation skills

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

 

  • PC computer with Windows operating system, facsimile, photocopier
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fidelity MSP
  • Knowledge of Oracle, SQL, Crystal Reports or other reporting software desired
