Overview

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Document Support Specialist is responsible for preparation of foreclosure and/or bankruptcy documents for appropriate execution with a focus on ensuring documents are processed timely and accurately according to established processes.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Review documents to ensure all verbiage, figures, and signing authorities are correct and accurate.
  • Review and package all documents and supporting documents to insure accuracy and that they are processed according to internal and external policies, procedures and timelines
  • Prepare document packages for management review and execution
  • Follow up with attorneys for document revisions
  • Track and return executed documents timely to attorneys
  • Diligently follows up on all outstanding requests and telephone calls from internal and external customers
  • Meet and/or exceed established document volume, turn time metrics and accuracy rating
  • Hold a notary certification in the state of employment and notarize documents as requested
  • Complete all RLMS notary required training and certifications
  • Report production results on a daily, weekly, monthly basis as requested
  • Escalate aged items over standard to management as directed
  • Train new employees as requested in assigned functions
  • Effect resolution of defects noted in a timely manner
  • All other duties as required

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

 

  • Knowledge of affidavits, SOTs, Certifications and Verifications
  • Knowledge of Real Estate/Loan documents, including loan closing and foreclosure
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to use sound judgment and make accurate decisions
  • Effective verbal, written and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to determine when escalations are needed and how to escalate issues. 

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Minimum 1+ Years Mortgage Servicing experience
  • Minimum 3+ Years Foreclosure experience preferred
  • Notary certification in the state of employment
  • High School Diploma Required

 

 MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiar with LPS desktop and MSP workstations
