The Senior Business Analyst is responsible to develop and produce performance trending, ad hoc analysis, and standardized reporting to monitor and provide portfolio management support on investor mortgage loan assets. This role relies on in-depth business knowledge as well as advanced skills in data manipulation to translate requirements into analysis and reporting.




  • Apply business validation and analytic skills to ensure high data quality
  • Trend/sensitivity analysis and frequent ad hoc projects
  • Analysis of loan performance, including delinquency, prepayment speed, and loss severity
  • Assist in preparation of servicing review materials
  • Evaluate actual vs. expected performance of investments and research variances
  • Prepare models and analytics that drive strategic decisions
  • Identify, analyze, and propose solutions to previously unidentified problems
  • Data entry into enterprise systems
  • Promote a professional image for RLMS through all interactions with Investors and all applicable parties
  • Participate in the business process and workflow, interacting with technical and non-technical staff to articulate technical concepts
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Work with SMEs in all Servicing areas in developing solutions related to data management and reporting
  • Develop data requirements and source-to-target data mappings for a creating a centralized data repository from multiple disparate sources.
  • Ensure proper integration of data solutions into existing reporting environments
  • Understand logical and physical data models and ensure proper design and flow of information across the applications
  • Analyze and develop data requirements and source-to-target (data) mappings for a creating a single-source-of-truth-type data warehouse solution (drawing from multiple desperate sources into one)
  • Ensure proper integration of new (data) solutions into existing (reporting) environments
  • Ability to understand the underlying data sources and business derivations and documenting
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned








  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills combined with ability to condense technical subject matter into clear and effective communications to senior management
  • Understanding related to the servicing of non-performing residential loans is a plus
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to create, compose and edit written materials
  • Experience in business process analysis and improvement strategies
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and decision making
  • Knowledge of automated analysis and modeling tools

  • Ability to research, gather background information, and analyze complex data




  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • High School Diploma required
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Project Management experience
  • Proficient in SQL along with the use of querying tools such as SQL Query Analyzer, TOAD, etc.
  • Proficiency with office products such as Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Visio is required.
  • Experience with Data extraction and perform multi-dimensional data analysis and working knowledge of data warehouses is desirable
  • Working knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Business Intelligence
  • Working knowledge of Mortgage Servicing Operation
  • Familiarity with Mortgaging Servicing Platforms  (such as MSP, LPS, etc) is desirable
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
  • Strong verbal and writing skills, presentation skills           





  • Skilled in Office Products (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, Power Point, Etc)
  • Understanding of Oracle and SQL databases
  • Intermediate/Advanced skills in SQL
  • Proficient with spreadsheet and database software/applications
  • Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures
