Overview

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Default Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day to day key workflow processes essential to meeting timeline performance. This includes research of loan documentation and calculation of reinstatement, payoff, POC, MFR and judgment figures within the foreclosure and bankruptcy processes in a high loan volume nationwide environment and ensuring compliance with all Agency, Investor, and Mortgage Insurer guidelines, and adherence to applicable State Laws.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support of various default groups in daily operations.
  • Calculate and prepare reinstatement/final cashiering advises for Collections, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, and REO.
  • Cross-functionalized as back up for Default Specialist, ordering appraisals, property inspections, and other various assignments.
  • Prepare cashiering advised for short payoff, modification agreements, payment plans, REO payoff, write off and reinstatements.
  • Prepare loss liquidation for investor reporting.
  • Prepare asset calculation quotes on payoffs and reinstatements, update all Spreadsheet on REO foreclose loans.
  • Contact attorney’s office when necessary for fees and costs.
  • Complete 1099 on foreclosure loans.
  • Prepare external quote for reinstatement and payoff.
  • All other duties as required.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Ability to make decisions independently within set policy and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory, Investor Guidelines and Compliance updates related to default and mortgage servicing.
  • Knowledge of damaged properties that may entail Loss Draft claims and insurance disputes.
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of default mortgage servicing.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachlor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years of default litigation and mortgage servicing required.

 

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

  • Proficient with MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Working experience with LPS desktop and MSP workstations required.
