The Loan Processor is responsible for processing loans in adherence to company standards and guidelines including all investor guidelines. The Loan Processor acts as a liaison between the originator, borrower, third party vendors and various departments throughout the company.



  • Provide exceptional level of customer service in all functions of the job responsibilities and interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Provide sales support to Originators with prompt and efficient service
  • Proactively and consistently communicates with the borrowers, loan officer and other involved parties with regard to the status of the loan
  • Reviews the entire loan file, including any tasks previously performed by the originator and disclosure staff for accuracy and compliance with company guidelines
  • Immediately communicates any errors and/or discrepancies to the appropriate party
  • Perform the necessary change of circumstance disclosures and delivery to the borrower
  • Monitor disclosure delivery and e-signature of documents by the borrower, including assisting borrower with access support
  • Perform accurate data entry into the Loan Origination System (LOS) from a variety of sources of information to ensure data integrity
  • Prepare loan file to ensure that loan packages are complete and comply with company policies and procedures as well as investor policies and procedures and state and regulatory requirements
  • Obtain from the borrower or other sources missing documents to ensure that loan packages are complete based upon company policies and procedures as well as investor guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain active pipeline including the addition of 30 new loans per month.
  • Ensure all required pre-closing quality assurance requirements are met in accordance with company standards.
  • Responsible for daily updating Encompass with accurate information regarding their pipeline.
  • Responsible for immediate communication to all appropriate parties on any significant problems or discrepancies pertaining to the loan.
  • Process loans in accordance with requirements of product description sheets
  • Confirm all rates and fees charged are correct and data is accurately inputted into loan origination system
  • Assist the post-closing and/or quality control department in obtaining any missing documentation needed in order to render a loan saleable into the secondary market
  • All other duties as required



  • Ability to balance between customer satisfaction orientation and a results driven approach
  • Strong desire and ability to work directly with consumers including meeting or exceeding company levels of customer service delivery
  • Current knowledge of industry guidelines and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations
  • Analytical skills are needed to visually review data and documents to determine if they meet required needs for origination.

  • Multi-tasking and prioritization skills necessary
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment under time constraints
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills and must be a team player
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal


  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor;s Degree preferred
  • At least five years of experience in mortgage banking or retail loan processing
  • Prior experience working with Encompass360 or other Loan Origination Systems
  • Ability to work in a paperless office environment


  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Encompass or similar Loan Origination System
