Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The REO Relationship & Quality Manager will manage the process of setting up vendors (business side) and managing internal QC of Dakota Asset Services, LLC work product.  The position will also be responsible to ensure that vendors perform at expected levels.  The position will also manage vendor/QC related incident tracking within appropriate systems and resolve in conjunction with direction from senior management and the vendor management group.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the vendor management group to manage the setup of internal vendors – including, but not limited to: real estate agents, property preservation vendors, repair vendors, system vendors, and offshore vendors.
  • Work with senior management to monitor and scorecard vendors of Dakota Asset Services, LLC.
  • Track vendor related incidents to defined policies and procedures and manage to resolution.
  • Define and oversee QC processes that will be executed by onshore, near-shore, and offshore resources.
  • Create automated solutions to improve quality of work product and to facilitate increased QC functions.
  • Lead vendor training related activities.
  • Implement structure, process, and governance as it relates to vendor communications, contract management, and on-going vendor relationships.
  • Proactively work with vendors and manage internal staff to understand/resolve vendor related issues, make recommendations and identify areas of opportunity as it pertains to process improvement.
  • Participate with contract negotiations, product selection, audit functions and onsite reviews.
  • Perform other duties or projects as requested by manager.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with staff, management, and external vendors.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate through oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and implement negotiation and vendor selection strategies and lead vendor performance analysis.
  • Excellent conceptualization, analytical, and logic skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop QC policies and procedures.
  • Ability to function independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects; function in a fast-paced moving, constantly changing, deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and offer creative solutions.
  • Strong planning/organization and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision makings skills.
  • Familiarity with offshore vendor engagements.
  • Familiarity of federal compliance policies and requirements for vendors.
  • Familiarity with financial risk evaluation methodologies and risk based modeling.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business experience.
  • Three+ years experience in mortgage industry related functions, vendor management, and project management.

 

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

 

  • Experience with Windows-based PCs, including general office software knowledge required.
