Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Policy & Procedure Analyst of Origination – Operations Support will compose, maintain, and clarify the policies and procedures of the organization.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure origination processes are compliant with CFPB and regulatory requirements
  • Write and maintain clear and concise policies and procedures for each origination department
  • Working with the appropriate departments, ensure the implementation of new and revised policies and guidelines
  • Ensure that policies are not contradictory to any departmental or company guidelines or objectives
  • Gather information related to policy and procedure by conducting interviews with management and subject matter experts
  • Maintain policy manuals keeping accurate files.
  • Archive all updates, revisions, and deletions for easy access
  • Establish a process for regular updates to the policy manual and accurate communication to staff
  • Participate in the review process working with staff, Management, Subject Matter Experts and Corporate Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management
  • Work with the department leaders to develop and maintain policy and procedure documents in a timely manner (including manuals and bulletins)
  • Ensure that policy and procedures are updated to reflect all change management approved changes relative to new product rollout and origination deliverables
  • Execute, promote and support continuous improvement of the origination platform
  • Perform other duties or projects as requested

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

 

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Communicate effectively with management, process owners, stakeholders, and other audiences
  • Possess excellent writing and editing skills
  • Detail-oriented, enjoys working with complex projects, and has excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to independently prioritize activities
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast paced environment

 EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Minimum 3 years mortgage origination experience
  • Minimum 5 years policy/procedures or technical writing
  • Experience working with various authoring tools such as Adobe RoboHelp and AllRegs
  • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and establish a high level of credibility across functional lines of business and organizational levels 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
