The Closer has strong knowledge of policies and procedures to prepare and fund various types of loan products. Responsible for ensuring timely management of assigned pipeline for closing and funding. The position is very essential to making the borrowers closing experience a pleasant and seamless experience. The primary focus is to exceed our client’s expectations and deliver exceptional service. This position is crucial in the development of strong, lasting client relationships through representing our company in a positive, professional and compassionate manner is essential and required by all closing personal.




  • Exhibit observable sense of urgency in the execution of all job functions and duties
  • Meet or exceed company levels of customer service delivery to all customers
  • Review loan information to ensure and verify data integrity for loan documents to be drawn and funded.
  • Ensure all conditions are satisfied and are in compliance with underwriter instructions, FNMA requirements and state and federal guidelines.
  • Perform all data entry functions related to docs and funding into the loan origination system of record for the Company and verify data integrity to ensure quality of loan closings.
  • Ensure timely delivery of loan closing documents to closing agents.
  • Identify missing documentation or conditions required to ensure completeness of file.
  • Keep abreast of all policies and procedures and comply with all state, federal, and GSE regulations.
  • Calculate figures for wire amounts and submit wire requests in accordance with company procedures.
  • Review and approve estimated and final HUD-1 for fees and disbursement authorization, as applicable.
  • Complete MERS registration, comply with Company stacking order, and complete shipping process in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Pipeline and rate-lock management.
  • Assist in research and corrections identified in the Quality Control and Post-Closing audits.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers in accordance with levels and expectations consistent with Company standards.
  • Follow company established procedures and effectively communicate to account managers, funding supervisor, AEs, Area Sales Managers, closing agents, attorneys, etc., as appropriate.
  • Maintain productivity as required by company standards and keep appropriate logs as required.
  • Display an observable sense of urgency in the execution of daily job functions.
  • Work with other team members to ensure efficient work flow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • At least two years’ experience in Mortgage Lending or Mortgage Loan Operations or Related Fields.
  • At least one year experience as a Funder or Junior Funder.
  • Experience with Encompass 360 Loan Origination platform preferred.


  • Prior experience working on Loan Origination Systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Outlook, and Excel
