Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Rushmore Apprentice Mortgage Professional (RAMP) is expected to successfully learn and perform each of the duties performed by a Mortgage Professional.  At the successful completion of training and required licensing, the RAMP associates will be considered for a position as Mortgage Professional.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Obtain and maintain required state licensing within the timeframe as agreed upon by management
  • Working with assigned mentor, successfully perform each of the duties performed by a Mortgage Professional:
    • Contact prospective customers from leads provided and accept inbound calls from existing customers. Explain mortgage loan options available from Rushmore to achieve their financial objectives
    • Present comparative mortgage products and programs which the customer may wish to consider and which best suit their needs
    • Sell the advantages of remaining with Rushmore for the new loan need
    • Take mortgage loan application and describe how the process will work – answer borrower questions
    • Ability to perform the duties and requirements of a Loan Processor in the Production Operations team
    • Collect supporting loan documentation to provide a complete package to Production Operations group
    • Follow up on outstanding items as required in support of Production Operations team
    • Maintain communication with borrower throughout the loan process as needed and with internal partners and call center management
    • Manage personal pipeline assignment to insure timely and efficient action and adherence to company lending and service standards and key dates such as rate lock expirations
    • Meet volume requirements for calls, applications and closings set out by Call Center management
    • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Rushmore lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
    • Operate with the highest level of customer service and ethical behavior
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a variety of people using both written and verbal skills
  • Enjoys working with customers and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with close attention to accuracy of all information provided and gathered
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet time deadlines
  • Strong math and analytical skills – ability to calculate various mortgage structures and present benefits to the borrower.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite - Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Recent sales experience a plus

 

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Use of Rushmore email and other internal systems
