Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Default HOA Claims Specialist will be responsible for vendor oversight and client communication regarding all HOA delinquency and payments on REO assets. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiate services of the designated vendor to obtain all HOA information and fees on new REO assets
  • Diligently review and follow up on all reporting to ensure SLA compliance
  • Compare submitted outstanding fees to defined state approval matrix for accuracy
  • Review and monitor client negotiations to ensure proper mitigation occurred in order to substantiate submission for approval to investor
  • Ability to directly engage HOA representative or their legal counsel for additional negotiations as second line of mitigation
  • Make decisions within investor delegated authority as outlined in company policies and procedures
  • Generate monthly vendor performance and scorecard
  • Diligently follow up on all outstanding requests and telephone calls from internal and external customers
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw conclusions
  • Provide instruction and direction to clients, vendors, and internal partners
  • Ability to work in fast past environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Adhere to high standards of professional conduct while providing delivery of superior service
  • Perform other duties or projects as requested by manager

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of Real Estate Loan documents including loan closing and foreclosure documents
  • Ability to interpret mortgage servicing information
  • Excellent analytical skills needed in order to make decisions and resolve conflict to ensure client satisfaction
  • Ability to work in a high volume and time sensitive environment
  • Well versed with regulatory and investor guidelines and keeps current with all Federal, State and industry specific and departmental policies
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to remain flexible to meet constantly changing and sometimes opposing demands
  • Ability to use sound judgment to make accurate decision and escalate when appropriate

 

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of three years recent mortgage industry experience
  • 1 year experience with hands on dealing directly with HOA statute and negotiations
  • Experience with Fidelity MSP servicing platform

 

 

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

  • Experience with LPS Desktop and LPS Invoice
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • 10 key by touch, Typing
  • Experience with MSP/ LPS servicing system
