Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Modification Review Specialist (Processor) is responsible for ensuring modification files are complete and ready for underwriting as well as pipeline management.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Modification Processing has primary responsibility for the modification file from hand-off from loss mitigation agent until deal is closed.
  • Competent and timely review of modification mortgage files to ensure all documentation is received and meets the expectations necessary for underwriting.
  • Interacts directly with customers to collect documents.
  • Performs accurate and complete data input into the loss mitigation system.
  • Communicates final decision to borrowers.
  • Communicates with effected parties the status of modification requests within the pipeline.
  • Timely follow-up of outstanding items and confirms modifications are moving forward in pipeline within specified service level agreement (SLA)’s.
  • Use of proprietary and industry standard loss mitigation systems and other standard office programs.
  • Customer contact- initiates and responds to customers as required and necessary.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • High School Diploma required
  • Experience with origination closing documentation or modification documentation
  • Familiarity with HAMP guides, and procedures
  • NMLS Licensing
  • Servicing experience, especially delinquent assets
  • Knowledge of FDCPA regulations
     

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

  • PC computer with Windows operating system, facsimile, photocopier
  • Proficient in MS
